Professor LI Lanjuan, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, has been announced by the Director-General of UNESCO awarded with the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences in recognitionof “ her innovative approach to dealing with infectious diseases that include COVID-19, influenza and severe viral hepatitis ” . Other two winners are Dr Chad MIRKIN (United States of America), and Professor Christofer TOUMAZOU (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).The ceremony was taken at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France on 14 March.
