On June 30, the Zhejiang University National Health Big Data Institute was officially set up by Zhejiang University and the Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association.
Present at the plaque-unveiling ceremony were JIN Xiaotao, Director of the Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association, and WU Zhaohui, President of Zhejiang University. XU Zhengping was named the inaugural director of the institute.
The Zhejiang University National Health Big Data Institute will be committed to smart processing, information mining and industrial applications regarding an ocean of complicated healthcare data. It will aim at providing support for public health, clinical practices and policy-making and cultivating cross-disciplinary talents in the domain of healthcare. To this end, it will create a sharing public technology platform for data management, data mining and artificial intelligence, and data integration.
